General Terms of Sale

Credit Card orders: We accept US and Canadian issued Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We do not apply a surcharge for credit cards; you will be charged only the total that you see on the order page.

Prepaid Orders: You will be emailed detailed bank/wire transfer instructions after you submit the order. Please allow 1-2 business days for the bank transfer to realize. For the exact transfer time frame please contact your local bank.

PayPal Orders: We will ship only to PayPal-confirmed address, and only when the payment is eligible for the Sellers Protection. Please confirm your address with PayPal before ordering.

International Orders: All international customers are ultimately responsible for any customs clearance (paperwork and procedures), duties, fees, and/or local taxes, if applicable, to the order. In the event the shipping company charges Laptop Authority for the customs taxes/duty a client is responsible for, such client authorizes Laptop Authority to charge his/her credit card on file to recover these funds. If there is no credit card on file, a bill will be sent to such client and payment is expected within 10 business days.

Local Orders: All orders in North Carolina are subject to sales tax. Please contact us prior to placing the order if you are a sales tax exempt in NC. We do not collect sales tax in other states.

All claims for a shortage, damage, non-delivery, or any issue with the packaging or a product must be made no later than two business days after receiving the goods or the delivery date shown on a carrier`s tracking history.

Dead/defective on arrival (DOA) defined as product that is inoperable upon first installation. A product is considered inoperable ONLY if the manufacturer recognizes it as defective. Products that fail after being in use for any period of time, are defined as defective and must be handled under the manufacturer`s warranty program. DOA and defective merchandise will be replaced, repaired, or credited (our option). DOA claims should be submitted no later than fourteen days from the date of delivery.

Restocking Fee: a 15% restocking fee (25% for RAM) applies to all cancelled and shipped items returned for refund or store credit against future purchase.

Shipping charges are non-refundable. Clients are solely responsible for all costs associated with shipping products back to us in the event of the return, repair, or replacement procedure. Replacement (or repaired) products will be shipped to a client via ground service, regardless of the original shipping method selected. However, shipping will be upgraded if a client desires and is willing to pay for a faster service.

No returns will be accepted without an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). Products must be returned and delivered to us no later than 30 days from the delivery date. All products must be returned in the manufacturer`s original packaging, in the new condition (no damage or scratches of any kind), and must contain all parts, such as manuals, software and cables. Products returned without all of the original parts may be returned to you at your expense and without a credit being issued by Laptop Authority. We will not process any returns if the original manufacturer`s box with the UPC code and other product information on it is missing or damaged. Please retain all packaging and accessories for at least 30 days in case if you need to return the product. Screen protectors and keyboard skins can be returned only if the package is still closed and sealed (i.e. never opened and used or tested).

Orders for custom-built or special order products cannot be cancelled or returned. Purchase of a product with extended warranty is considered an order for a custom-built product.

In the event if the order cannot be delivered to you (if nobody is available to accept the package after several delivery attempts, or if you refuse the delivery for any reason, or if you cancel the order while it`s still en-route to you and the shipping company is able to intercept the delivery), the order will be returned to us and we will refund full amount of your order minus double the shipping fee to cover our expenses (shipping companies will charge us for both legs of the shipping - to you and back to us). If you selected free shipping method (this applies to USA orders only), you will be charged $30 per item/unit. International customers will also be charged the customs fees and taxes that we will acquire due to the return. Custom configured orders cannot be returned. If such order is returned, no refund will be issued, and the customer will be responsible for arranging the pick-up and shipping from our facility.

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received from our suppliers, Laptop Authority has the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for products listed at the incorrect price. Laptop Authority has the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, Laptop Authority will immediately issue a credit to your credit card.

Laptop Authority is not responsible for misprints or mistakes in specifications posted on our website. Please, check the manufacturer`s website for the latest information. Simply refer to the manufacturer`s part number, of the item in question.

If any action is commenced for the collection of the amount due or to enforce the "terms and conditions of sale", the buyer must pay the attorney`s fees and any other costs associated with the aforementioned action.

The sale shall be governed by and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA.
